Brûle-parfum portatif suspendu par des chaînettes dans lequel se consume l'encens sur des braises.

L'ange thuriféraire (du grec θυς, encens » et du latin ferre, porter) est un ange qui manie l'encensoir soit pour louer la Vierge à l'Enfant ou le Saint-Sacrement présenté par un pape, soit pour honorer un saint mourant (saint Joseph notamment).
