Définition
Pièce d'orfèvrerie montée sur un pied destinée à exposer l'hostie consacrée – le Saint Sacrement – à l'adoration des fidèles. L’hostie est rendue visible à travers un contenant muni de vitres à l’intérieur duquel on place une lunule – ou croissant eucharistique – destiné à recevoir l’hostie.
